Please do not hesitate to ask questions at any time.

FINCO
The Financial Counseling Department at Oncology Consultants was created to provide financial counseling to patients and their families to assist in alleviating the financial strain that can occur when diagnosed with cancer. Each patient has access to our financial counselors, whose intent is to assist the medically uninsured and underinsured patients with the cost of chemotherapy treatment. Patient assistance takes into account an individual's financial, medical and insurance situation. When determining who is eligible, financial criteria are based on federal poverty guidelines. Individuals with or without insurance may be eligible.

There are a variety of financial assistance programs available for patients, run by pharmaceutical companies or independent non-profit organizations. These associations provide free medications or co-pay assistance to patients who cannot afford to buy the medicine or who experience financial hardship.

Foundation
There are also foundations that offer financial assistance to patients. These are independent, non-profit organizations funded through donations from the private, corporate and community sectors. These foundations assist those who live with certain illnesses or conditions with ways to satisfy expensive co-payments. They serve as advocates supporting the needs of patients who cannot access the treatments they need due to out-of-pocket health care costs.
